With more than 10 years as an attorney, Jamie joined the Sandberg Phoenix Health Law Practice group in the St. Louis office in January 2013 to continue serving medical professionals.
Jaime joined Sandberg Phoenix in May 2009 as an associate and is a member of the Health Law Practice Group. Jaime is licensed to practice in the states of Missouri, Illinois and Wisconsin and in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Missouri.
Jared Byrne joined Sandberg Phoenix as an Associate in early 2013 after working for several years as a prosecutor and attorney in the St. Louis area, and works primarily with the Health Law team.
Jeff is an equity shareholder of Sandberg Phoenix and Chairman of the Health Law Practice Group. His primary focus is the defense of health care providers, particularly in the long-term care industry. He has represented health care clients in claims involving Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, Residential Care Facilities, Group Homes, Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled, Physicians, Hospitals, Nurse Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals and Pain Management Clinics.
Jacob Grimes joined the firm after earning his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2017. He earned his B.S. in Biology from Rockhurst University.
During law school, Jacob served as a judicial extern to The Hon. David Noce of the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and as an intern in the legal department of a major regional hospital corporation in the St. Louis area. He also completed an internship with the St. Louis City Circuit Attorney’s office, where he performed extensive research and developed documents for prosecutors and served as second chair in felony trials and developed trial strategies with prosecutors.
Kathryn M. Huelsebusch joined Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard P.C. in 2010 as an Associate in the Health Law Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm, Kathryn gained experience defending medical malpractice, product liability, and general negligence cases at defense firms in St. Louis, Missouri and Edwardsville, Illinois.
Nicole C. Larch joined Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard in April of 2007. Nicole is a member of the Health Law Practice Group, focusing her practice on medical malpractice defense for physicians, hospitals and nursing homes. She has also defended cases involving products and premises liability. Nicole has successfully represented physicians and hospitals in all aspects of litigation including investigation, discovery, motion practice and second chairing medical malpractice and wrongful death trials.
As a trusted advisor with more than 8 years of experience, Cassie has first and second chair trial experience in state and federal court in both Missouri and Illinois. Cassie represents a variety of healthcare and medical-defense clients, including hospital systems, skilled-nursing facilities, and individual providers in a broad range of litigation matters involving contracts, licensing and regulatory issues, compliance, and professional malpractice. Cassie focuses her legal career on medical malpractice litigation, defending nurses, doctors, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and other providers in the healthcare industry facing catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death claims. She has also advised clients on healthcare regulatory matters and represented clients before various state administrative boards. In addition to her healthcare practice, Cassie has significant experience in business and commercial litigation, as well as product liability and toxic tort.
Joining Sandberg Phoenix in 2013, Counsel Jonathan McCrary brings more than 12 years of experience in health law and medical malpractice. As a partner with several law firms in Memphis, Tennessee, Jonathan developed a strong background in civil litigation, including nursing home, medical malpractice, nursing malpractice, hospital defense, product liability defense, insurance defense, subrogation, worker’s compensation, probate and coverage litigation in federal and state courts. He has worked with nearly every major healthcare group, from long-term care providers and physician and nursing groups to public and private healthcare institutions.
Olivia joined Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard P.C. in 2010 as an Associate in the Health Law Practice Group. Prior to joining Sandberg Phoenix, Olivia gained experience defending medical malpractice cases and personal injury cases for several years at a law firm located in Belleville, Illinois.
