CMS Final Rule – Comprehensive Analysis by Sandberg Phoenix LTC Team

Post 41 of 108

Over the next few weeks, the Sandberg Phoenix Long-Term Care and Senior Housing Team will be rolling out its analysis of the new CMS Final Rule revising the requirements that Long-Term Care facilities must meet to participate in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. We will address each revision and how it impacts both the care provided to residents and how that care is to be provided.

This is the first comprehensive update to 42 CFR 483(B) since 1991. Since that time there have been numerous innovations in resident care and quality assessment while the population seeking long-term care has become more diverse and clinically complex. The revisions address these changes in an effort to improve quality of life, care and services, optimize resident safety, reflect current professional standards and improve the logical flow of the regulations themselves.

Please check back often as our blog will be updated frequently!
